Betty Louise Rizer Obituary
We bid farewell to Betty Louise Rizer (Keyser, West Virginia), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 12, 2025 at the age of 101. Betty touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rhoda "Lola" Evelyn (Noland) and Clifton Henry; her husband George Gardner "Bud" Rizer; her sons, Stephen Craig Rizer and Mark Allen Rizer; her grandchildren, Tristan Gardner Rizer and Tiffany Leigh Croft; and her sisters, Dorothy "Dotty" Jean Henry Zacot and Beverly Ann Henry Jones.
She is survived by: her daughters-in-law, Mary Kaye Rizer Cooper and Brenda Faye O'Haver Rizer; her grandchildren, Stephanie J. Oates (Joe) and Daniel Craig Rizer (Karson); her great grandchildren, Elisabethe Ashton, Gabriel Croft, Caden Oates, Averi Oates, Stephen Rizer, Brier Rizer and Raelynn Mayhew; and her great great grandchildren, Allen, Tristan and Venus. She is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins and special friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (32 N Davis St, Keyser, WV 26726). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, Betty remained an active member of her faith community, using technology to connect with others, offer encouragement, and lead in prayer.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in honor of Betty Rizer to the First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 232, Keyser, WV 26726.
