He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Markwood, Sr. and Mary Markwood; his sister Mary V. Bishoff (Richard); and his siblings-in-law, Delores Moreland (Coye), Elloween Lipscomb, Oney Lipscomb and Dale Lipscomb.
He is survived by: his spouse Betty Lipscomb Markwood; his daughters, Sue Floyd (Kenny) and Kelly Zacot (Joe); and his grandchildren, William Floyd, Thomas Floyd, Seton Zacot and Dakotah Zacot.
Memorial donations may be made to the Burlington United Methodist Church, Burlington, WV, Hospice of the Panhandle or The Alzheimer's Foundation or to the organization of the donor's choice.
