It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Michael Simmons of Kerens, West Virginia, born in Elkins, West Virginia, who passed away on November 5, 2022, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Paul Granville and Madeline Cross Simmons; his wife Theresa L. Moats; his daughter Charlene Simmons (John Scott Kennedy) of Kerens; his granddaughter Emma Grace Kennedy; and his brother Dale Matheny.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Leading Creek Volunteer Fire Department, P. O. Box 158, Kerens, WV 26276 in memory of John.
