He was predeceased by: his mother Wanda L. Chaffins of Kenova; and his brother John David Chaffins. He is survived by: his father Jerry E. Chaffins of Kenova, WV; his wife Angela S. Chaffins; his children, Shaun M. Chaffins (Corina) and Miranda A. Lively; his brother Jeffrey E; his sister-in-law Rebecca S Chaffins of Ceredo, WV; his mother-in-law Renee Jackson (late David) of Springfield, OH; his sisters-in-law, Lizabeth Jackson of Indianapolis, IN. and Charity Martinez of Indianapolis, IN.; his nieces and nephews, Abigail Chaffins of Kenova, WV, Charley, Benny Fark of Indianapolis, IN, ZidenCunningham and Scarlett Martinez of Indianapolis, IN; and his pets, Marley Jane, Lucy, Sadie, Daisy, Zoe and Chester.
