He was predeceased by: his mother Viola Josephine Perdue Thompson; his close friend Bob Saunders; his sister Sally Sperry; his grandson Kevin Michael Ray Perdue; and his uncle Bob Perdue.
He is survived by: his children, Debra "Debbie" Perdue Robinson of Ceredo, Lacinda "Cindy" Perdue Cain (Jim) of Barboursville, Harold "Ray" Perdue, Jr. (Cindy Moore) of Ceredo and Shawn Perdue (Kelly Edwards) of Burlington; his cousins, Robert and Bill Perdue; his friends, Mike and Peter Lowe; and also, Robert Ray Saunders of Huntington, Karen Vasvary (Keith) of Chesapeake, Barbara Wechsler (Ron) of Kenova and Mike Saunders (Angie) of Culloden. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren.
