She was predeceased by: her parents, Charley Bowen and Polly Ann Johnson Bowen; her husband Bill Joe Preece; her siblings, Albert, Luster, Freelon Bowen and Virgie Bowen; her grandmothers, Fannin, Margie Marcum, Martha Clay and Eldia Elkins; and her close friend Donald Staley.
She is survived by: her children, Joe Preece (Bibi), Ruth Ann Hankins (Gary), Loretta Stambaugh (Keith), Shelia Stender (Melvin) and Bruce Preece (Keith); her siblings, Leo Bowen (Mary) and Fondalene Hay; her sister-in-law Fay Blackburn; and her grandchildren, Danny, Jason, Jessica, Andrea, Barbie, Amanda, Seth, Chris and Hannan. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
