Bernie E. Riggs Obituary
We are sad to announce that on August 24, 2023, at the age of 93, Bernie E. Riggs of Kenova, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Spurgeon and Ruth Canterbury Riggs; the mother of his children Virginia Fugate Riggs; his wife Dalena Kay Riggs; and his siblings, Charles, Carl, Ralph, Garrett Riggs, Dorothy Pauley, Maxine Ferguson and Juanita Moore.
He is survived by: his son David; his daughter-in-law Cindie Riggs; his daughter Karen Samons; his grandchildren, Jason Perdue (Terri) and Tracy Mayes (Clint); his great grandchildren, Savannah and Tucker Mayes; and his brothers, Eustace Riggs, Sherman "Pat" Riggs (Norma) and Dana Ray Riggs. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and his brothers and sisters.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Victory Baptist, the church he loved.
