With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Monk of Kenna, West Virginia, born in Charleston, West Virginia, who passed away on January 19, 2021 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Howard and Norma Lee Monk (Jones) of Nitro. He is survived by: the mother of his children Carolyn Monk; his siblings, Janet Hunt of Poca, Kay Myers of Nitro and Robert Monk of Hometown; his children, Garrett Monk (Helen) of Peytona, Gannett Monk (Katheryn) of Pocatalico, Heather Bodenstab (Derek) of Pottstown, PA and Christopher Monk of Kenna; and his grandchildren, Taylor Monk of Los Angeles, CA, Savanna Monk of Ripley, Jackson, Sawyer Monk of Pocatalico and Winnie Bodenstab of Pottstown, PA..
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Wreaths Across America, an organization aiming to remember, honor and teach about our fallen veterans by coordinating wreath laying ceremonies for their graves each December.
