He was predeceased by: his parents, Hal Smith and Mary Shaffer Smith. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Fisher Smith; his children, Travis Franklin (Jerrika) of Kenna and Erica Sayre (Gale) of Evans; his siblings, Craig Smith of Virginia and Sharon Kelley of Charleston; his grandchildren, Brett, Alley Franklin Rollins (Justin), T. J. Franklin, Presley Franklin, Eli Franklin and Leia Franklin; and his great grandchildren, Leo Wilson, Hannah Wilson, Bexley Boatright, Silas Boatright and Kalieah Boatright.
