With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Myrtle Mullens of Kegley, West Virginia, who passed away on July 11, 2020 at the age of 96. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alec Zander Howerton and Helen Lucas Howerton; her former husband Ralph Johnston; and her siblings, Ernest Howerton and Hester Hancock.

She is survived by: her husband Louie Mullens; her children, Helen Compton (Tommy) of Grundy, VA and Ralph Johnston (Patty) of Dublin, VA; and her sister Dorothy Lawrence of Weyanoke. She is also survived by six grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
