He was predeceased by: his parents, McKinley Mullens and Dathell McKinney Mullens; his wife Myrtle Howerton Mullens; his son David Wayne Mullens; and his sisters, Violet Wickline, Vennie Green, Alice McPeak and Marilyn Cheeks.
He is survived by: his children, Louie Mullens, Jr. (Deborah) of Belair, MD, Deborah Cook of Belair, MD, Beverly Wessell of Belair, MD and Pamela Ross (Roy) of Belair, MD; his stepchildren, Ralph Johnston (Patty) of Dublin and Helen Compton (Tommy) of Grundy, VA; and his sister Linda Shotto. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
