It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Freal Thompson Sr. (Kegley, West Virginia), born in Saltville, Virginia, who passed away on February 22, 2019, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Thompson and Pearl Allison Thompson; his wife Eleanor Huffman Thompson; his children, Eva Carol and Jerry W. Thompson; his grandchildren, Steven Ford II, Larry Thompson, Nathan Thompson and Richard Lambert; and his siblings, Johnny, Claude, Isaac, Edward, Riburn, Fred, Frank Thompson, Imadell Jackson, Kate Collins, Beulah Thompson, Kance Chapman, Kathleen Surbur and Flossie Chapman.
He is survived by: his children, Geneva Jenkins (David) of Kegley, Allen Thompson (Carol) of Spanishburg, Glenda Ford (Steven) of Speedway, Delores Harmon (Dewey) of Lashmeet and Freal Thompson Jr. (Nancy) of Kegley; his daughter-in-law Brenda Thompson of Speedway; and his sister Nancy Taylor of Chilhowie, VA. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
