With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wilma A. Hockensmith of Kearneysville, West Virginia, who passed away on July 18, 2023 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William H Young and Helen Young (Williams); her husband Dean Hockensmith; her siblings, William H, Carroll Young and Shirley Denston; her parents-in-law, Isabel and Abner Hockensmith; her sisters-in-law, Dorothy B Crowley and Nancy M Hockensmith; her son-in-law Kevin Carroll; and her great grandchild Tyler Dean Harris.

She is survived by: her children, Janet Carroll, Deborah Hockensmith and Samuel Hockensmith (Tracey); her grandchildren, Mary Carroll-Blosser Rebecca (Arthur), John Zawadzski and Megan Roberts Samantha (Adam); her sister Wanda Simmons (Robert); and her brothers-in-law, William Denston and William Hockensmith.
