It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shelby Maples (Kearneysville, West Virginia), born in Jonesville, Virginia, who passed away on March 28, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Floyd Thompson and Ethel Jamima Hyden Thompson; her son-in-law Sonny Simpson; and her great grandchild Virgil. She is survived by: her husband Ewell Ray Maples; her children, Juan Maples of Bunker Hill, Jimmy Ray Maples (Jennifer), Raymona Simpson of Bunker Hill, Norma Speaks (Rusty) of Kearneysville and Teresa Croson (Timmy) of Shenandale; and her siblings, Pete Thompson, Sue Rogers (Doug) and Virginia. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
