He is survived by: his son Robert Franklin Armstrong, Jr. (Serena) of Sandy Hook, Maryland; his sister Alice McVickers of Baltimore, Maryland; his grandchildren, Dusty Hoffman, Chad Armstrong (Laura) and Nora Armstrong; and his great grandchildren, Jordan, Chelsi and John (Sandra Armstrong).
