He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Patricia Sumner Bates and Robert Bates; his daughters, Kayla and Kasie; his siblings, Wendy Ero (Gary) and Robert Bates (Lisa); his pet Sadie; and his daughters, Tiffany and Amanda. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
