He is survived by: his wife Marjorie June Bell Hughes; his children, Debra Cummings and John Philip Hughes; and his stepchildren, Cynthia Oldham, William Alexander (Trudy) and John Alexander (Gale). He is also survived by several grandchildren and other extended family.
