He was predeceased by: his parents, George Walter Parks and Lucy Mae Hall King (John); his great grandchild Landon Orr; and his stepfather Garnett Glass. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Hutton Parks; his children, Deborah Garrett (Denver), Boyd Parks, Jr. (Paula), Loretta Orr (Paul) and Gene Hopkins (Lisa); the mother of his children Hazel Parks of Jonesville; his children, Jennifer Wynkoop of Inwood, WV, Franklin Parks, Sr. (Christy) of Berkeley Springs, WV and Ernest Parks (Rachel) of Gerrardstown, WV; his grandchildren, Brandon, Claudia, Trey, Paulina, Tyler, Madison, Alexis, Frankie, Gracie, Josh, Zach, Liam and Harper; and his sisters, Phyllis Holmes and Jeanette McIntosh (Charlie). He is also survived by twenty-two great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the South Berkeley Chapel of Brown Funeral Homes (287 Arden Nollville Rd, Inwood, WV 25428). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
