She was predeceased by: her parents, Blair L. Curtis and Ava Cutright Curtis; her brothers, William Bill Curtis and Earl Jacob "Pete" Curtis; and her stepgrandchild R. J. Jimenez.
She is survived by: her children, Edgar Joe Merritt Jr. of Beverly and Ava Lou McGee (Walter) of Philippi; her stepchildren, Jeffrey Harris and Alesia Harris Swartz (Lee) of Belington; her siblings, Kenneth Curtis (Sue) of Philippi, James Curtis (Judy) of Elkins and Dora Foy of Junior; her grandchildren, Angela McGee McDaniel (Roger) of Moatsville, Wade McGee (Jamie) of Philippi, Edgar Joe Merritt III (Jennifer) of Leetonia, Jamie Merritt of Beverly, Jonathon Merritt (Chantel) of Beverly, Brianna and Shelby Merritt of Huntington Beach; and her stepgranddaughters, Christina Jimenez and Alexandra Robbins (Bobby) of Belington. She is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic face masks and social distancing are mandatory.
