It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elmo Ray Alderman Jr. of Jumping Branch, West Virginia, born in Hinton, West Virginia, who passed away on November 9, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Elmo R. Sr. Alderman and Macie Maxine Lilly Alderman; and his niece Katie Poff. He is survived by: his daughter Tara Alderman White (Bill) of Charleston, SC; his close friend Terri Byrd of Jumping Branch; his sisters, Dalene Coffman (Tom) of Jumping Branch and Karen Poff (Kent) of Gainesville, GA; and his nieces and nephews, Joel Coffman, Joanna Rogar (Chris), Sara Kytle (Blake), Jonathan Poff (Ashley) and Tina Willett (Rob).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Jumping Branch Tabernacle (307 Robin Roost Rd, Jumping Branch, WV 25969). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Southern West Virginia or the Wounded Warriors Project.
