She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard E. Milam and Sue Smith Milam; her husband William David Powell; her daughter Diedre Powell; her brothers, William L. Grose and Delmar J. Milam; and her son-in-law Lawrence "Bud" Kincaid.
She is survived by: her daughters, Trina Darlene Powell of Jumping Branch and Penny K. Powell-Kincaid of Ury, WV; her siblings, Scotty Lewis Milam (Brenda) of Helen, WV and Margaret T. Mosher of Beckley; and her friend Agatha Riddle of Beckley. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
