He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Turner and Myrtle Turner; his son Joseph Turner; and his brothers, Richard and Donnie Turner.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Turner of Julian; his daughters, Tammie Adams (Albert) of Brushy and Rachelle Gillenwater (Ronnie Jr) of Nellis, WV; his siblings, Rachel Wilson (Ralph) of Madison, Barbara Lagassee of Chattanooga, TN, Judy Dancy (Ed), Kathy Bailey of Madison, Patty Huffman (Brian) of Locust Grove, VA, Connie Woodrum (Jerry) of Danville and Mac Turner (Blitz) of Ridgeview; his grandchildren, Tristen Gillenwater, Elizabeth Adkins (Clifford) and Billy Ray Adams (Brooke); and his great grandchildren, Braylee, Paizlee, Parker, Carson and Layton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
