He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. Pruitt and Liza Jane Day Pruitt; his wife Janice Arwood Pruitt; his son Allen Pruitt; his grandson Thomas Gibson; and his siblings, Roosevelt, Dean, Charlie Pruitt and Gladys Rowe.
He is survived by: his daughter Pam Stiltner (Doug) of Jolo; his grandchildren, Chris Owens (Sherry Lowe) of Grundy, Daniel Pruitt of Jolo, Dalton Pruitt of Jolo, Savannah Pruitt of Jolo, Janice Pruitt of Bluefield, WV and Jessica Felkins (Michael) of Florida; and his siblings, Eddie Pruitt (Lori), Estil Pruitt (Eileen), Truman Pruitt, Gilbert Pruitt (Anna), Matthew Pruitt, Vester Pruitt, Barbara Puckett and Dora Vandyke (Sonny). He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Three Forks Church of God. A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
