He was predeceased by: his parents, McKinley Hicks, Sr. and Elsie; his former wife Anettia Hicks; his daughter Tammy Lynn Horn; and his siblings, Charlie, James, Troy, Hobert Hicks, Ethel Hicks and Angeline Hagerman.
He is survived by: his wife Lucy Kelly Hicks of Princeton, WV; his nephew Eulas Hicks (Karen Kay) of Jolo, WV; and his niece Leslie Ann Allen.
