It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Matthew Ferrell of Jolo, West Virginia, who passed away on April 14, 2025, at the age of 27, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact David Matthew had on those he encountered along his journey. Though David Matthew may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He is survived by: his parents, Clarence "Bugsy" Ferrell of Jolo, WV and Teresa Hurley Mullins of Berwind, WV; his siblings, Lucas of Berwind and Kristen Ferrell (Cody Osborne) of Jolo, WV; his aunt Rebecca "Becky" Stinson of Isaban, WV; his grandmother Bessie Puckett of Mooresville, NC; and his cousins, Davannah Stamper of Bluefield, WV, James Ferrell and James "Bam" Stiltner.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Independent Church of God. A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
