He is survived by: his wife Linda Ann Steel Gibson of Jolo, WV; his children, Kimberly Sue Payne (David) of Galax, VA, Carrie Dianna Johnson (Anthony Salyers) of Galax, VA, David Wayne Gibson (Patricia Sheets) of Galax, VA and Tony Curtis Gibson of Galax, VA; his stepdaughter Angie Roberts (Stephen) of Bradshaw, WV; and his siblings, Ruby Adkins of Jolo, WV, Lilly "Jean" Hatfield (Luther), John Gibson (Retha) of Jolo, WV. and Steve Gibson (Shirley) of Jolo, WV.. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, one step-granddaughter, thirteen great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
