She was predeceased by: her husband Jesse P. "Sonny" Carter; and her siblings, Walter Collins and Jo Ann Hughes. She is survived by: her children, Gale Vencill (Tony) of North Carolina, Thea Cline (Roger) of Kentucky, Greg Carter (Starr) of Tennessee, Neal Carter of Tennessee and John Carter (Jennifer) of Florida; her grandchildren, Alison Hill, Caleb, Leslie, Maria Cline, Daniel Adkins, Zane, Kacey Carter, Sara Carter, Bella and Olivia Carter; her great grandchild Hadley Hill; and her siblings, Jack Collins, Nancy Moore and Mary Mack. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
