He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Hitt and Evelyn Joann Nicholson Hitt; and his close friend Doug Butcher. He is survived by: his children, Cortney Harris (David) of Bridgeport and Christian Hitt of Bridgeport; his grandchildren, Dane Harris, Emersyn Harris, Jacob Gissy and Jade Harris; his sisters, Kimberly Malson (James E. Hitt Jr.) of Jane Lew and Lori of Jane Lew; and his nieces and nephews, Brooke Short, Lauren Reed, Tyler Hitt and Joseph Swiger.
Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, masks are required for all indoor events.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Our Neighbor and mailed to PO Box 473, Weston, WV 26452.
