He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Samuel Guy Lear and Eleanor Bell Ankney Lear; his wife Carole Eileen Martz of Jane Lew; his daughters, Deborah Mason (Kim) of Bumpass, VA and Tamatha "Tammy" Jones (David) of Jane Lew; his grandchildren, Thomas "TJ" Mason (Kaitlyn), Robert Mason (Kay), Jessica Mason (Samer), Sierra Mason, Amber Carver (Mike), Jacqueline Jones and Kathryn Jones (Adam); his great grandchildren, Allison, Carter, Elijah, Harper and Hazel; his brother Samuel Lear Jr. of Greensburg, PA; his niece Samantha "Jeanne" Dohner (Jon); and his nephew Michael Lear.
