She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Blackwell Ward Sr. and Olive Roberta Detamore Ward. She is survived by: her husband John Ray Helmick Sr.; her children, John Ray Helmick, Jr. (Jennifer) of Jane Lew and Kayla Helmick of Jane Lew; her grandchildren, Darrion Helmick (Taylor Thomas) of Winchester, VA, Abigail Helmick of Jane Lew and Adaira Snider of Jane Lew; her great grandchildren, Bentley and Kinsley Helmick; and her siblings, Robert B. Ward, Jr., Russell Ward (Charlotte) of Good Hope, Lilly Jackson of Jane Lew and Ronald "Matt" Ward of Jane Lew. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Pat Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service (144 Hackers Creek Rd, Jane Lew, WV 26378). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
