He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Delbert Woofter and Anna Louise Gum Woofter; his wife Rita Mae Brown; his son Ray D. Woofter Jr.; his sons-in-law, Mike Lazarowycz and James Dooley; and his siblings, Bob Woofter, Blaine Woofter, Genevieve Holt, Bill Woofter and David Woofter.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Brown (Sarah) of Weston, Nina Lazarowycz of Parma, OH, Karen Bailey of White, GA and Tammy Dooley of Garfield Heights, OH; his brother Clayton Woofter of Cleveland, OH; and his nephew Danny Holt of Buckhannon. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
