He was predeceased by: his mother Helen Louise Byrd Smith; and his nephew Tyler Smith. He is survived by: his father Loren William Smith of Weston; his children, Chelsey Longanetta (Charles) of Clarksburg, Michael "Ryan" Smith of Walkersville and Emily Smith of Elkins; and his grandson Caden Longanetta. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, brothers, and sisters.
