With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Wilmuth Amerine (Jane Lew, West Virginia), born in Zanesfield, Ohio, who passed away on December 1, 2020 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Amerine and Helen Marie Titus Amerine; and his brother Ralph Amerine. He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Mae Clark of Weston, WV; his children, Beth Allman (Darrell) of Weston, WV, Daryl Cobb of Taylorsville, NC and Cheryl "Susie" Edgar of Billings, MT; his grandchildren, Jared Allman of Weston, WV, Jessica Purdum (Levi) of Powell, WY and Daniel Allman (Jane) of Guandong, China; his stepgrandchildren, Dena Griffin (Ryan) of Taylorsville, NC and Andrea Romero (Philip) of Mt. Holly, NC; his great grandchild Bennett; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Quentin, Sophia and Mann Mann; and his sister JoAn Dill of Bellefontaine, OH.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of John W. Amerine to the Marine Corps League. Please mail donations to Marine Corps League, Det 956, PO Box 852, Elkins, WV 26241.
