He was predeceased by: his parents, Basil Dean and Dorothy Ellen Persinger Wilfong; his daughter Michelle Wilfong; his stepsons, Charles and Nathaniel Lyons; and his brothers, Gerald and Richard Wilfong.
He is survived by: his wife Nina Bell Carter Lyons of Linn; his children, Johnnie (Wilfong), Joanie Wilfong (Rich Blackwell) of St. Clairsville, OH and Stephanie Wilfong Smith (Tracy) of Boaz, KY; and his stepson David Lyons (Rosey) of Sand Fork. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
