He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles (Erma Robson Sheets) and Jim; and his brothers, Charles and Danny Sheets. He is survived by: his spouse Carolene Joyce Riley Sheets; his children, James Sheets Jr. of Buckhannon, Patty Jo Mackey (Steve) of Buckhannon and Scott Sheets of Jane Lew; his grandchildren, Damean Sheets and Brittany Mackey; and his brother Ronald Sheets (Suzie) of Buckhannon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
