He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hayes and Hazel Dell Hitt Strader; his wife Patricia Elizabeth Miller Strader; his brothers, John Strader Jr. and Rosco "Rocky" Strader; and his stepmother Lavina Strader.
He is survived by: his sons, David Wayne Strader (Trista) of Weston and Henry Steven Strader (Tammy) of Weston; his grandchildren, Randi Strader Radcliff, Tim, Steven Strader, Aaron Strader and Angelica Strader; and his brother Tommy Goldsmith of Weston. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
