He was predeceased by: his parents, Hayward Spurgeon and Mildred Spurgeon. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn; his grandchildren, Ethan and Reese Shoemaker; and his siblings, Diane Myers (Rod) of Weston and Ron Spurgeon (Kris) of Williamstown, WV. He is also survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, Gary's family have requested that those wishing to honor Gary's memory may make a donation in his name to either WVU Medicine- Hospice or to Bible Baptist Temple ℅ Missions Fund.
