He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Edwin Riffle and Stella Lura Goldsmith Riffle; his daughter Amanda Suzanne Riffle; his siblings, Warren Eugene Riffle and Emma Lea Straley; his parents-in-law, Leonard Joseph and Betty Jean Hurst; and his siblings-in-law, Brenda Sue Hurst and Rondal Eagle.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Louise Hurst of Jane Lew; his children, Tabetha Christine Grogg (Randall) of Jane Lew, David Joseph Riffle of Jane Lew and Shawn Wayne Tavares (Peter) of Atlantic City, NJ; his grandchildren, Jasmine Marie, Christina Nicole, Haley Renee and Gabriel Hunter Grogg; his sister Debra Posey of Jane Lew; his siblings-in-law, Gayle Hurst (Charlotte), Debra Eagle, Terri Harris (Jim) and Sheri McSweeny (Perley); and his nephew David.
