He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Ford Carpenter and Opal Pearl Caynor Carpenter; his daughter Janet Burrows; his granddaughter Jessie Marie Arrigo; and his siblings, Ford, Morris, Kenneth Carpenter and Mable Mishler.
He is survived by: his children, Anna Marie Carpenter of Jane Lew and Jared Carpenter (Nancy) of Crawford; his grandchildren, Joshua Smith, Tyler Carpenter (Amber McElwain), Jared Boone (Kati) and Tiffany Shaw (Mike); his great grandchildren, Colton, Caleb Boone, Sloane Smith, Cody Johns and Danielle Shaw; his brother Ernest Carpenter of Weston; his nephew Matthew Carpenter; and his cousin Wayne Caynor. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
