She was predeceased by: her parents, James Downey Butler and Anna Lee Shade Butler (Grand); her husband Ed Shepherd; and her brothers, James D. Butler Jr. and Michael D. Butler.

She is survived by: her son Brian Moreland; her grandsons, Shea Moreland and Tyler Moreland; her great grandchild Kennedy Moreland; her goddaughter Adrianna Dunbar; her siblings, Debbie Moreland and Boyd Butler; and her cousin Carolyn Hurd. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 7:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the South Berkeley Chapel of Brown Funeral Homes (287 Arden Nollville Rd, Inwood, WV 25428).
