He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Stevens and Naomi Tichnor Stevens; and his wife Louise Shields Stevens. He is survived by: his sons, Russell (Vicki Shields) of Washington, PA, Charles Stevens of Baxter, WV and John Stevens of Idamay, WV; his siblings, David Lynn (Cheryl Stevens) of Morgantown and Cindy (John Carpenter) of Texas; and his grandchildren, Charles Shields, Brandi Staley, Michael Stevens, Tara Butler, Eric Stevens, Kayla Rossi, Charlea Rowan, Kristen Lea Stevens, Jacob Stevens and Justin Stevens. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Due to the current uncertainty with the COVID-19 pandemic, the family has chosen to hold all funeral services privately with Evangelist Kevin Lough officiating.
