She was predeceased by: her mother Dixie Lillian Compton Hamilton; and her siblings, Peggy Hamilton of Tazewell, VA, Douglas Hamilton, Kenny Hamilton and Frankie Hamilton.
She is survived by: her children, Jorja Lockhart Scott (Hilton) of Welch, WV and Wesley Chilton Lockhart of Henderson, Nevada; her sisters, Terry Reed of Welch, WV and Betty Rios of Hickory, NC; and her cousin Louise Keene of Indian Trail, NC. She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and their children.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the McDowell Public Library, McDowell County Humane Society or WYCO4 Spay & Neuter (on Facebook), an animal organization helping pets and their people of McDowell and Wyoming County.
