She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Bolden and Lydia Steel Bolden; her former husband Robert Lee Bowles Sr.; her husband Earl King; her daughter Patricia Jean Bowles; and her sisters, Stella, Frances, Gracie, Virginia Bolden and Nellie Roberts.

She is survived by: her children, Robert Lee Bowels Jr. (Anna) of Iaeger, WV, Nancy DeMars of West Springfield, MA, Cleda Carter of Iaeger, WV and Audrey Bowles of Iaeger, WV; and her grandson Raymond Viera. She is also survived by grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren and 23 great-great grandchildren.
