He is survived by: his wife Barbara Atwell; his children, Jacob Atwell (Sasha), Jaxson Workman-Atwell, Ellen Atwell, Patricia Perdue (Chester), Shelia Carter and Marie Baker (Freddy Asbury); and his siblings, John Atwell (Brenda), David Atwell (Bonnie), Jane Deskins, Emily Katherine Atwell and Loretta Payne (Odell). He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
