Though Stephanie Ann may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Stephanie Ann touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Carter and Lorella Carter (Pearson); and her sisters, Francia Ferguson and Linda Doyle Keyser. She is survived by: her children, Joseph Scott Smith and Marisa Ann Smith (Mitchell); her grandchildren, Chloe Ann Pickett and Aidan Elizabeth Smith; and her pet Trinity Rowsey.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at the Valley View Memorial Park (2466 Main St, Hurricane, WV 25526).
The family will hold a private burial, and would ask any expressions of sympathy to be in the form of a donation in Stephanie's name to their favorite no-kill shelter.
