It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rodney Whitten Linville of Hurricane, West Virginia, who passed away on April 4, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, D. Wilson Linville and Katherine "Kitty" Safford Linville; his wife Barbara A. Simmons Linville; and his grandson Alexander Linville. He is survived by: his sons, Martin Linville (Shawna) of Hurricane, WV and Brian Linville (Angela) of Hurricane, WV; and his grandsons, Andrew, Matthew, Christopher and Ian Linville.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Chapman Funeral Home (3941 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane, WV 25526). A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made in Rod's name to: Putnam County Library 4219 WV – 34 Hurricane, WV 25526 to continue his support of them.
