It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Patricia Avelar of Hurricane, West Virginia, born in Galesburg, Illinois, who passed away on October 26, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Myers and Mabel Koontz; and her sister Shirley Sandborg. She is survived by: her son Marc Beacom. She is also survived by four grandchildren and nine great-grand children.
