Marlyn Covert Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 14, 2020, at the age of 73, Marlyn Covert of Hurricane, West Virginia, born in Big Chimney, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Shirley Burgess and Reva Burgess; and her brother Jay D Burgess of Elkview, WV.. She is survived by: her husband Harold Edward "Ed" Covert of Hurricane, WV; her children, Gary Covert (Kimberly) of Saint Mary's, GA, April Erlandson (Covert) of Hurricane, WV and Mandy Tweel (Covert) of Rock Hill, SC; her grandchildren, Garrett Kennedy (Emily), Nathan Kennedy (Gary), Corrie Goggins, Zach Erlandson (April), Wyatt Tweel and Thatcher Tweel (Mandy); her great grandchildren, Annabelle and Aubrey Kennedy (Garrett); and her brothers, Roger Burgess (Rose) of Hutto, TX, Gary Burgess (Donna) of Elkview, WV, Jack Burgess (Lynn) of LaGrange, TX and Mark Burgess (Lisa) of Elkview, WV. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and a vast amount of brothers and sisters.
Most recently she spent countless hours of her time sewing well over 700 masks to donate to the VAMC in Huntington, WV as well as to friends and family in an effort to assist in the battle against COVID-19.
