It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lawrence Leon Hoptry of Hurricane, West Virginia, who passed away on March 5, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Karen S. Hoptry; and his parents, Harold Hoptry and Opal Quinn (Hoptry). He is survived by: his children, Catherine Hadesty (John) of Gordon, PA, Christine Humprey of Nitro, WV and Jon Hoptry (Danielle) of Nitro, WV.; his sister-in-law Gisela Troutman of Albuquerque, NM.; his nephews, Sam Troutman (Nancy) of Albuquerque, NM and Robert Troutman (Ruth) of Keller, TX; his niece Barbara Starkey (Larry) of Boulder, CO.; his grandchildren, Madelaine, Emma and Jerek Hoptry; and his great grandchild Henry.
