She was predeceased by: her husband Herbert Balser Sr; her son-in-law Gary Stepp; her parents, James McCune and Elvie McCune; and her sisters, Hartsel Hackney, Helen Elswick and Charity Tuell.
She is survived by: her children, Herbert Balser (Becky), Jeannie Stepp, Dreama Blankenship (Butch) and Eric Balser (Nora); her grandchildren, Bradley Lovejoy, Shelly Stepp, Kathy Howell (Chuck) of Hurricane, Jonathan Javins, Jeremy Javins of Bloomingrose, Dustin Balser (Maria) and Trey Balser of Hurricane; and her brothers, Johnny McCune (Alice) of Saint Albans and Graydon McCune (Wanda) of South Carolina.
